What people get wrong about Greece

The flag question lists Argentina, Finland and Uruguay beside Greece. All four are blue and white. Argentina and Uruguay carry a sun; Finland is a blue cross on white. Greece is the only one with stripes and a cross together, nine stripes with a white cross in the canton. The outline sits beside Albania, Bulgaria and Croatia. Greece is the ragged one, with the Peloponnese hanging off the bottom and Crete underneath.

We ask for Athens twice: once by name, once as the southernmost capital on the European mainland. The trivia asks which sea lies east of Greece, and the answer is the Aegean; the Ionian is on the west. Explorer is where Greece gets hard. Santorini, the Acropolis and Corfu are marked easy. Then come thirty-odd islands: Naxos, Milos, Sifnos, Serifos, Kythira, Karpathos, Leros, Nisyros. Placing Corfu is one thing. Placing Icaria is another.
