How to learn the map of Europe

The Baltic states run alphabetically north to south: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. Below them, Belarus sits between Poland and Russia, with Ukraine and Moldova beneath. The Benelux three are Netherlands on top, Belgium under it, tiny Luxembourg tucked in the corner against Germany and France.

The Balkans are where most rounds are lost. Going down the Adriatic coast from Italy: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania. Inland from Croatia: Serbia, with Kosovo below it and North Macedonia below that, then Greece. Bulgaria is east of Serbia and North Macedonia, Romania above Bulgaria, Hungary above Serbia. Switzerland is west of Austria; Slovakia is above Hungary, the Czech Republic above Austria. Remember that Kaliningrad, the Russian exclave between Poland and Lithuania, is Russia.
