What people get wrong about Germany

The flag question offers Belgium, Romania and Estonia. Belgium is the one that costs points: black, yellow and red, the same three colours as Germany, but in vertical stripes. Germany's run horizontally with black on top. Romania is blue, yellow and red, and Estonia is blue, black and white, so those two are only a problem at speed. The outline sits beside Poland, France and Czechia. Poland is the near miss, a similar width with a flat Baltic coast. Germany's coast is broken in two by Denmark, and the country narrows towards the south.

The capital question is Berlin, and the trivia goes on to ask which country does not border Germany. Hungary is the answer; Switzerland, Austria and Poland all do. Explorer marks the Brandenburg Gate, Cologne Cathedral and the Black Forest easy. Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Marienplatz and the Walhalla memorial are marked hard, which says something about how many players can place Bavaria. The numbers round asks for the population, 84 million, and the area, 357 thousand square kilometres.
